David Lee, Orlando Fringe’s Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, takes on playwright Will Eno’s TITLE AND DEED, at the 2018 Orlando Fringe Festival, May 18-27th, 2018.
ORLANDO, FL.– David Lee, 2016 Orlando Fringe’s Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient and 2015 Critics’ Choice for “Best Male Performance” for SEX, DRUGS, ROCK AND ROLL, once again tackles internationally renowned playwright Will Eno, as he did in The 2011 Patron’s Pick Award Winning THOM PAIN (based on nothing), in a new solo piece, TITLE AND DEED, a provocative and often fiercely funny and philosophical meditation on life, longing, loss and how to find a place to call “home.”
Playwright Will Eno received the Oppenheimer Award in 2004 for THE FLU SEASON. THOM PAIN (based on nothing) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama in 2005 and THE REALISTIC JONESES appeared on Broadway in 2014, where it received a Drama Desk Special Award and was named Best Play on Broadway by USA Today and best American play of 2014 by The Guardian. THE OPEN HOUSE was presented Off-Broadway in 2014 for which he won the Obie Award for Playwriting.
TITLE AND DEED presents an unnamed man who has recently arrived here, from an unnamed place, a homeland somehow familiar, yet decidedly not. He is a refugee. But what is he fleeing? And what is he hoping to find?

David will perform a selection from the play at the Fringe Local Teaser show, Monday, April 16th at 7PM and will perform the whole piece for Press Previews on Sunday, May 13th from 1:30PM-2:30PM.
